The Baile Charme trend went big through a CapCut template. If you've seen a tutorial and want to make your own, here's how the template works, where it falls short, and another way to make the video without the app.

The trend started with a real dancer. On 7 August 2026, @zenegaooficial posted his charme in the packed night crowd at Pedra do Sal, in Rio de Janeiro. A closed CapCut template followed. Brazilian creators call it "dança AI retrô", and from 18 October 2026 the tutorials took off, some reaching up to around 600,000 views in a day. On 20 October the template's use count grew from 151,577 to 186,749 in four hours.

Many versions of the template put action-movie stars in the grandpa's place. That's where most of the viral CapCut clips come from.

How to find and use the Baile Charme CapCut template

CapCut's menus change between versions and regions, so the steps below are general:

1. Open CapCut and go to its templates section.
2. Search "baile charme" or "dança ai retrô". You can also tap the template link under a tutorial video on TikTok, which opens it in CapCut directly.
3. Pick the template that matches the clip you saw. Several look-alike templates exist; check the preview.
4. Add one photo. Use your own photo, or one of an adult who agreed. A sharp photo with the face toward the camera works best.
5. Let it render and export the video.
6. Add the sound in TikTok when you post, if the export doesn't already have the one you want.

On the sound: many tutorials use "Ice Ice Baby" from TikTok's music library, while @seuzerj's reel uses its own original sound, listed as "som original - seuzerj". Either works on TikTok; pick the one from the version of the trend you want to copy.

Limits of the CapCut template

The template is quick, but it has trade-offs:

• The look is fixed. You get the template's scene and edit. There's no duo, couple or grandpa option unless someone made a separate template for it.
• Celebrity versions. Many popular versions are built around action-movie stars. Don't upload a celebrity's photo. Use your own, or an adult who agreed.
• You need the app. The template runs inside CapCut, and exports may carry a watermark depending on your plan and settings.
• Region availability. Templates aren't available in every country, and closed templates can disappear without notice.
